I have checked all permissions on theįile and the folder it resides in. Converted the file to various versions of Excel (original is Excel 97, has been converted to 2003, 2007, and 2010 formats. I have disabled Windows Search, file caching, the details pane. I have searched high and low on the net for solutions but none seem to work. Without an issue (with the same user logon) all running XP but this is the first Windows 7 machine to be introduced to the environment. Many other computers and laptops access and save this Excel spreadsheet I can save to non shared files no problem and if I copy the shared workbook to the local hard drive it saves no problem, but as soon as a file is shared on the network I get the error. Please close the document and try to open it again" "The document was saved successfully, but Excel cannot re-open it because of a sharing violation. I have recently run into an issue with sharing violations when saving network shared Excel files. ![]()
